Our website www.ernestmandel.org is dedicated to making available the works of Ernest Mandel in 6 languages : French, Dutch, English, Spanish, German and Farsi.

Our site now includes several hundred texts, articles, brochures and books written by Mandel throughout his militant and intellectual life. To facilitate research and study, these texts are collected and classified in the “Writings” section, both chronologically and thematically.

For us, this work is an indispensable tribute to the revolutionary activist, Marxist scientist and man that was Ernest Mandel.

It is also an approach committed to the present, because Ernest Mandel’s work still has much to tell us, to teach us, not only about the past and Marxism, but as an instrument for understanding the present and transforming it to build a different future.

Publishing his works in various languages on the Internet is an immense task. Finding, archiving, scanning, correcting and putting online the thousands of texts written by Ernest Mandel on the most varied subjects represents a colossal task.

In the future, we also hope to publish or republish some of these works in printed form, as we did in 2007 with the republication of “L’Introduction au Marxisme”, with a preface by Daniel Bensaïd.
